Director of Teaching School Hub

Steve has worked as a teacher and senior leader for over 16 years in various schools across the region. His interest and professional background are rooted in staff training, curriculum design and assessment. Since joining the Four Stones Trust in June 2021, Steve has strategically led our DfE designated Teaching School Hub serving Sandwell and Dudley. Through the delivery of the DfE Golden Threads Steve and his team guarantee that all Teachers and Leaders across the region are professionally supported and equipped to ensure that students receive the best possible education. 

Appropriate Body Services Manager

Vicki’s extensive expertise in schools across Sandwell and Dudley has established her as an invaluable asset to leadership teams, where she wholeheartedly commits herself to nurturing the growth and development of both staff and students.

Vicki has worked in education for 15 years and since 2023 at the Hub. She thoroughly enjoys her job describing it as “Incredibly rewarding. Working with our schools and the fabulous team at the Hub creates an unmatched sense of professional fulfilment.”

As the Appropriate Body Services Manager, Vicki takes immense pride in collaborating with colleagues to support teachers on their professional journey and deliver unparalleled educational experiences for young minds.

National Professional Qualification (NPQ) Administrator

Amanda has worked within administrative roles for over 15 years, predominantly within the health service, but varying across numerous fields. She joined the education sector in 2021 and added to her general skills with that such as organisational support for Senior Leadership Teams, maintenance of records/school information management systems and first aid response (including administration of medication to students and management of school medical information).

Amanda joined the Four Stones Trust in May 2022, becoming a part of Haybridge Teaching School Hub. Her role here is centred around the following golden threads of the Hub:

• Offering the DfE suite of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)
• Developing and signposting colleagues across schools to research-informed Continuing Professional Development
• Collaborating with colleagues across Local Authorities and Curriculum Hubs, provide specific Subject Network Meetings to bring Subject Leaders together for sharing best practice and continuing subject-specific professional development

Early Career Framework (ECF) Administrator

Jo has a wealth of experience from a career spanning over 40 years across the public and private business sectors.
For the past 14 years, Jo has worked at Haybridge High School & Sixth Form, operating under the Four Stones Gateway Trust.

In her current role as Early Career Framework (ECF) Administrator for Haybridge Teaching School Hub, Jo oversees daily operations, including ECF registration, event coordination as well as engaging with Early Career Teachers, Mentors, and Induction Tutors. Jo also liaises closely with our programme facilitators. Jo is here to offer constant guidance and support to all those enrolled on the ECF Full Induction Programme.

As well as tracking event attendance and engagement of ECF participants, Jo works closely with Ambition Institute, the Hub’s Delivery Partner, and the Department for Education (DfE) to ensure the accuracy of data and facilitation of seamless enrolment on to the Full Induction Programme (FIP).

On her days off, Jo likes nothing more than walking her dog, gardening and swimming.

TSH Administrator

Wider CPD, Appropriate Body Services, Marketing & Social Media Administrator

Natalie is the newest member of the Haybridge Teaching School Hub team, joining in January 2024. She has over 18 years’ social media and design experience and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies.

Natalie is a valued member of the team, and her extensive knowledge enables her to manage all of our social media accounts whilst also developing and designing literature and media posts to promote the Hub’s events.

Responsible for overseeing the Wider Continuing Professional Development (CPD) department, Natalie co-ordinates and manages conferences and online events, answers queries and logs attendance. She also supports our Appropriate Body Services Manager, managing invoices, checking reports and other administrative tasks.

Natalie is a busy mom of three and enjoys keeping active with her family. She also attends Park Run at her local park every Saturday.

English teacher, Literacy Lead and Educational Consultant

I have a wealth of experience of school leadership, in role as Head of Department, Assistant Headteacher, Vice Principal, Induction Tutor, Appropriate Body Lead for Alliance schools and Director of Teaching School. I have successfully delivered CPD and professional qualifications at Middle and Senior leadership level (Primary and Secondary delegates) and led and designed ECT teacher training programmes. I remain committed to English teaching through specialist teaching at KS3,4 and 5, Leading Whole School Literacy, and through my role as an AQA Literature A Level examiner.  

I am particularly interested in coaching and leadership development, at all levels, from ECT to Senior leadership level. I  am currently delivering on the NPQLT programme and am an assessor, which enables me to effectively support delegates to succeed on the course. In my role as a Visiting Fellow, I effectively use Instructional Coaching to support ECT mentors to develop their practice and provision for their ECTs and I particularly enjoy visiting staff within their schools to enable me to coach perceptively and adapt effectively to each individual and context. 

I am delighted to be supporting Haybridge Teaching Hub in their facilitation of the NPQ programmes and as a Visiting Fellow. I am committed to support staff in our shared desire for best practice in our schools and have a positive impact on the outcomes for children. 

Director of Invictus Institute

Before joining Invictus Education Trust as Director of Invictus Institute, Eve worked within the central team of another local multi-academy trust, leading on teacher training and recruitment.
Since qualifying as a teacher in 2000, Eve has worked as a teacher and Head of Department of Science and qualified as an Advanced Skills Teacher in 2006. Eve progressed to work within the leadership teams of multiple West Midlands schools, sharing her expertise in Teaching and Learning and Quality of Education. She is an advocate for effective CPD and people development in schools.
Eve is a Visiting Fellow for Ambition Institute, facilitating on the Early Career Framework to teachers and mentors. She also facilitates on the National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching. Eve works in partnership with Haybridge SCITT, to recruit and train teachers. She is also a member of the Haybridge Teaching School Hub executive board.
In July 2023, Eve achieved her MEd in Educational Leadership with the University of Birmingham.

Consultant in Education

Jeannette has been a primary school leader for over twenty five years. She has been a Headteacher, Executive Headteacher and the founding CEO of the first all-primary multi academy trust in Dudley. Jeannette was a National Leader of Education and established the first primary teaching school in Dudley, involving working with many different schools and leaders in the West Midlands and beyond helping to improve schools to deliver better outcomes for children.
Jeannette has been an Ofsted inspector and has a valuable insight into the impact of Ofsted on schools.
Jeannette is now an independent education consultant and works with both primary and secondary schools, trusts, the DfE and local authorities. In 2020 Jeannette was awarded an OBE for services to education.

Jeannette enjoys working with school leaders, helping them to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding. The NPQ programme is a perfect vehicle for this as it combines evidence-led practice with experience.

Assistant Head, Uplands Manor Primary

Jenny Durnall is currently Assistant Head Teacher for Early Years at a large primary school in Smethwick. She has been working in early years for nearly 20 years in all roles from teaching assistant and then Early Years leader. During her career, she has taught in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 and has worked with a variety of children with special needs.
Jenny is passionate about providing a personalised provision that stimulates and excites every child into learning.
Jenny is also passionate about offering opportunities for real life experiences for the children in order to develop and expand on their ability to ‘know more, remember more’. She works tirelessly with parents in order to ensure that they take an active part in their children’s learning and bridge any gaps that they may have in their experience and confidence.
Jenny believes that being part of the Haybridge NPQ programmes provides her with the opportunity to share her expertise and knowledge with like-minded professionals who are committed to improving children’s early years education through their own professional development.

Head Of People Development Institute

Matthew currently facilitates on the NPQ in leading Teacher Development. He has a wealth of experience in leading the delivery, management, and evaluation of a comprehensive and effective CPD package demonstrating a real impact on student outcomes and stakeholder commitment. Matthew is currently the Trust Lead for the Central Region Schools Trust for Professional learning, Research & Development. In his teaching role, he has been rated by Ofsted as an outstanding practitioner; further, he has a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership, Management & Coaching (Masters Level) as well as having facilitated on multiple middle and senior leadership coaching and development programmes. Prior to becoming the trust lead for professional learning, research, and development across 13 schools, Matthew was the Director of a Teaching School for four years where his specialisms have focused on the induction and mentoring of Initial Teacher Training, School Direct colleagues, and the implementation of effective ECT, RQT, Leadership and CPD programmes.

Assistant Head Teacher, Coppice Primary School

I am the Assistant Headteacher of a three-form entry primary school and an Evidence Lead in Education (ELE) for the Research Schools Network.

The 2023/24 school year will be my fourteenth as a teacher, the majority of which have been spent teaching upper Key Stage Two. It will also be my tenth year as my school’s English leader and seventh as Assistant Headteacher, where my principal responsibilities have been curriculum design and leading staff professional development.

Since 2020, I have also worked as an ELE for the Research Schools Network, where I have worked as part of a team to deliver training, develop partnerships and collaborate with school leaders in a variety of settings. I’ve worked on a number of projects, including Improving Primary Literacy, Metacognition and Self-regulation, and Putting Evidence to Work (Implementation). In other roles, I have also facilitated training for ECTs and ECT mentors and I have run an OU/UKLA reading for pleasure teacher research group for three years.

I wanted to work with Haybridge to facilitate the NPQLL because I believe that raising standards of literacy is central to improving social mobility. Based on my experience and my own learning, I believe I have plenty to offer prospective and developing literacy leaders to create the systems and foster the cultures that can improve outcomes and ‘open doors’ for children.

CRST Schools Improvement Lead for ITT and Early Career Development

Teresa is an experienced teacher of Computing and during her teaching career, has undertaken the role of Induction Tutor, SLE and Director of ITT – Teach Central. She is part of the School Improvement team and is responsible for ITTs, Early Careers, Coaching and Staff development, which she leads across the Trust. She is also a Visiting Fellow for the ECF programme and facilitates on NPQLTD/SL. She feels passionate in supporting colleagues to gain a wealth of knowledge and skills, that are developed through the NPQs, which directly impacts on outcomes for our students.

Teresa’s expertise lies within Professional Development, Leadership and Management, Early Career Development, Coaching and Mentoring.
Teresa is passionate about supporting teachers’ developing their professional practice and wider experiences.
