Billesley Research School

Research. Pedagogy. Practice. Using research to improve life chances for disadvantaged pupils.

At Billesley Research school we are passionate about improving the educational outcomes and opportunities for all pupils, especially those pupils who are disadvantaged, so ensuring all pupils have the same opportunities for success.

We are looking forward to enhancing existing partnerships and creating new alliances to work together to inspire evidence-informed change and innovation. The world of education is an exciting place to be; the evidence is clear – Research informed practice makes a difference.

Our model is simple: Explore the research, review current practice and create new knowledge through collaboration and enquiry. We know that teachers are excited by research, but can find it challenging to select the most appropriate starting points. By working alongside school leaders and practitioners, we aim to provide guidance and support, which makes engaging with the latest research simple and purposeful. Our dedicated team of teachers and leaders are skilled in sharing their knowledge, expertise and experiences of using research to secure long term improvements in classroom practice.

We offer:

  • Latest EEF guidance, evidence reports, summaries and trial evaluations

  • The first step in implementing innovative ways to improve teaching and learning

  • High quality, tailored professional development

  • School based support to use evidence to lead school improvement

  • All training programmes are based on EEF guidance reports

  • We can offer online, face to face or blended learning (a combination of online and face to face training.)
